'Privileged Information' Plan for Sound/Soundtrack

Composition: The plan for my entire soundtrack is that it will be self-composed - I recently completed an EPQ, in which I had to compose a musical, so have well-versed knowledge on how to use composition tools etc. Sound effects: The type writer sound effect is one of the only effects I should need for the film, which plays over the inter title at the beginning of the film I will also use the sound effect of an alarm clock Act One: For Act One, the film opens with a 'Peaceful 'Morning' Underscore'  - I want to lead the spectator into a false sense of security with this piece - also, create humour as it will only last a few seconds before being suddenly cut off by the sound effect of the alarm clock. Similar to a tone created in 'Morning Mood' (Grieg)/ lullaby feel  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCEzh3MwILY Then next piece of music will be more sprightly and fast-paced - continuing this leading into a false sense of security - similar to the music of 'Kris...

'Privileged Information' Narrative/Plot Sequence

Narrative/ Plot sequence for 'Privileged Information': The film opens with a shot of LENA in bed, followed by a sequence of her getting ready for the day, whilst she brushes her teeth, makes breakfast, brushes her hair, puts on makeup and gets dressed.  LENA then leaves to go to work. She commutes via the tube, taking notice of the people around her.  Once LENA has arrived for her job (a reporter) in Whitehall (King Charles' Place), she begins to report on the afore mentioned mass-killer.  Suddenly, there is an interruption in LENA's broadcast, within which it is revealed that a CCTV photo of the suspected killer has been leaked via Twitter.   LENA then realises she had been discovered, and flees Whitehall, walking back across Waterloo Bridge to her home LENA walks down her street, whilst looking at the people who walk past her, feeling paranoid - as though she is being constantly watched The film ends as it begun, with LENA crawling onto her bed, reaching for ...

'Privileged Information' plan for graphics

Image
Plan for the title graphics: For the graphics, I want to use a 'typewriter' font I will navigate the title across the screen at the opening of the film I want the title to write across the screen and the sound effect of the typewriter to happen whilst it is being typed out Plan for the credits graphics; I want to use a similar font for the credits Underneath the cast and crew credits, the song 'Happy Talk' will play, or something self-composed, with an eerie lullaby feel Examples for title graphics - I might use a similar 'blood splat' on the last letter, with a similar font, though I don't want to give away the twist, so this may change; I might overlay of the text - over the picture - will be similar to the example below. If not, I want my graphics to be rather simple, echoing the score and mood being created

'Privileged Information' Props/Costume:

Props: The film isn't particularly prop-heavy, and most items I will be using are simple household items However, the distinct orange hat and scarf are purchases I will need to make - I will have to make sure that these items are bright and recognisable enough so that they stand out in the 'CCTV Image' reveal, that takes place in Act Two I will also need to source the fake blood, and make sure that it looks realistic and not cartoonish Costume: LENA: Red Mickey Mouse Disney pyjama top Jogging bottoms  Bright neon orange hat and orange scarf Red fitted dress, preferably below the knee Black shoes, with a small heel Black three quarter length jacket OR black full length jacket Jewellery should be minimum, but at least one necklace SOUND GUY: Plain black t-shirt Khaki camo-style trousers  White dirty trainers  Braceletes  Hair/Makeup: LENA: Winged eyeliner and heavy mascara Hair should be unbrushed in opening sequence and tidied/brushed during the 'getting ready' ...

'Privileged Information' Location Reccee

Image
  ·        The ‘Tube’ sequence of my film will be one of the most difficult to film, due to the vibrations of the tube, so the location reccee for this section was paramount   ·        For this sequence, I will use actors of varying ages and backgrounds in order to correctly replicate an average commuting day on the tube in London   ·        I will probably use a phone and a gimble, in order for the picture to be steady. However, If I can manage to steady the tripod and camera, I will use that instead.          ·        For the scene in Whitehall, I wanted for the location to be easily recognisable as the West End of London, but not so obvious as having landmarks on full display.   ·        Later in the film, as LENA walks across Waterloo Bridge however, I want London to be easily recognisable –...
