Act One: Fast-pace morning routine sequence:
· Overhead high angle shot of LENA in bed
· Camera stays stationary as she crawls out of bed
· Cut to shot behind jars in kitchen – we see LENA walk in – the camera is at Waist level, she walks past it
· Shot from inside a kitchen cupboard – high angle- LENA reaches in for a plate
· Close-up of LENA’s hand turning on a radio (reports on mass killer, tormenting London)
· Mid-shot of LENA cutting an apple on a chopping board – each time she cuts the apple, the shot cuts closer to the knife hitting the board
· Overhead high angle shot of bowl + LENA’s hand pouring in yoghurt
· Repeated Overhead high angle shot of LENA pouring in apple slices
· ECU of LENA putting spoon in her mouth
· Cut to long shot of LENA brushing her teeth – the camera is behind her
· Cut to LENA brushing her hair – mid-shot
· Shot of Lena putting on makeup – looking in a small hand mirror
· ECU Shot of LENA zipping up a dress and a pair of black boots
· Mid shot of LENA walking towards the front door
· MCU of LENA looking into a mirror – the camera lingers on this shot for a few seconds. LENA smiles and leaves the shot.
· Wide shot from behind LENA of her leaving her house. The camera once again lingers on the closed door as we see her shadow walk away from the tinted windows.
Act Two: Travel + News report/ realization sequence:
· Sudden snap from previous lingering shot to wide-shot of LENA – a POV shot of someone sitting opposite her on the tube
· LENA picks up a newspaper from underneath her – the shot continues – we see the headline of said paper (Refers to the unknown mass killer)
· Match-on-action mid shot of LENA opening paper – taken from the right of LENA
· Shot-reverse-shot of another passenger – man who looks towards LENA- LENA looks back- Passenger reverts to look at his phone. All shots are close-ups on the character’s heads/faces
· Shot of LENA reading the paper from the other side (Left side)
· Another shot-reverse-shot of a passenger – this time, a young woman wearing headphones. She looks towards LENA, LENA looks up from her paper and looks towards the woman. Again, each shot is an CU on the character’s faces/heads
· Repeated POV shot (of ‘passenger’ (the spectator) opposite LENA). The tube comes to a stop.
· Sharp cut to wide/establishing shot of LENA in Whitehall.
· Mid shot of LENA having her mic fitted by SOUND GUY
· Tracking shot of SOUND GUY returning to his equipment (a camera, tripod etc.)
· Full body wide shot of LENA through the lens of the camera, as he counts her down (from behind the camera)
· Cut to over the shoulder (LENA’S) mid shot of SOUND GUY counting down towards the start of LENA’s broadcast
· Shot of LENA from behind SOUND GUY’S camera – looking into the lens as she begins her report.
· The shot lingers as she suddenly adjusts her ear-piece whilst we hear the muffled voice of ROB
· Cut to – repeated shot from earlier – of LENA through the SOUND GUY’S camera lens
· Match on action: LENA reaches for her phone in her jacket pocket- next shot…
· Cut to over the shoulder shot of LENA looking at her phone screen – on it appears a CCTV footage photo of the alleged killer, in a bright orange scarf and hat
· Cut to mid shot of LENA, again behind SOUND GUY’S camera
· Close up of LENA’S face as she looks blankly towards the floor
· Mid shot of LENA through SOUND GUY’S lens repeats – as she rips off her mic
· Cut to wide shot of the pair facing each other – as LENA takes out her earpiece and places it in SOUND GUY’S hand as she hurries past him
· Wide shot of SOUND GUY turning around to shout towards LENA as she runs out of the frame
· (Each of the following shots are taken from the parallel side of Waterloo bridge)
· Cut to: Establishing shot of LENA on Waterloo Bridge
· Medium close-up of LENA (still full body shot, but less of the ‘background’ is in frame)
· Close-up of LENA walking along (on phone)
· Dolly – full - body shot of LENA walking towards the camera – camera is now positioned on the same side as LENA – LENA is still on phone
· Shot of LENA entering tube station, walking past the camera – camera is static
· Repeated Shot of LENA on tube – still on phone
Act Three: LENA’S return home:
The following shots are filmed in slow-motion
· Tracking shot from behind LENA, walking away from the camera along her street
· Dolly shot from in front of LENA, walking towards the camera as she looks intensely at each person who passes her – we do not see their faces
The following shots are filmed at normal speed
· Wide shot of LENA walking up her front garden to her door.
· Full-body wide shot of LENA entering house
· Cut to: Match on action shot of LENA entering house from inside the house – again, full-body wide shot
